Alexander Skarsgård
Alexander Johan Hjalmar Skarsgård is a Swedish actor of unrivalled talent, who is celebrated around the world for his exceptional work. Since bursting onto the scene in 2000, Skarsgård has become a household name, with notable roles such as vampire Eric Northman on the critically acclaimed HBO series True Blood, male model in Zoolander, and Brad Colbert in the much-loved HBO miniseries Generation Kill.
Skarsgård's powerful performances have earned him legions of fans, as well as numerous awards and nominations. But Skarsgård is more than just an actor; he is also a dedicated humanitarian, and in 2017 he was appointed a UN Goodwill Ambassador.
Despite his many successes, Skarsgård remains humble, with a great sense of humour. When asked why he chose to become an actor, he famously quipped: "I was already too tall to be a jockey, so I figured I'd give acting a go!"
