Alicia Vikander
Alicia Amanda Vikander, the radiantly talented Swedish actress and former dancer, has taken the world by storm! Born and raised in Gothenburg, Alicia developed an interest in acting from a young age and began training as a ballet dancer at the Royal Swedish Ballet School in Stockholm, and the School of American Ballet in New York.
Alicia made her feature film debut in the award-winning Pure (2010), for which she won the Guldbagge Award for Best Actress. She rose to fame in 2012, after her acclaimed performance as Princess Ekaterina "Kitty" Alexandrovna Shcherbatskaya in Joe Wright's Anna Karenina, and as Queen Caroline Mathilde in the critically acclaimed Danish film A Royal Affair. As if that wasn't enough, she also starred in the 2013 Swedish drama film Hotell, and appeared in the Julian Assange-biopic The Fifth Estate that same year.
From 2014 to 2015, Alicia achieved global recognition and acclaim for her powerful roles in Testament of Youth, Ex Machina (for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress), and The Danish Girl, for which she won the Academy Award and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Alicia is clearly a triple threat and an unstoppable force in the acting industry. She is a true inspiration and a reminder to us all that anything is possible. As she once said: "If you can laugh at it, you can survive it." Who knew that someone so talented could also be so hilarious?
