Amy Lou Adams is one of the most iconic actresses of our time, having gained fame for her memorable roles in both comedic and dramatic films. From her humble beginnings as a dinner theatre dancer in the mid-90's, Adams has gone on to become one of the world's highest-paid actresses, having been awarded two Golden Globe Awards and nominated for a whopping six Academy Awards, seven British Academy Film Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards! Her big break came in 2002 with a starring role in Steven Spielberg's classic Catch Me If You Can, and since then she has appeared in a string of critically-acclaimed films such as the musical fantasy Enchanted, the drama Doubt, and the psychological drama The Master. Of course, she also made waves when she portrayed Lois Lane in the DC Extended Universe films between 2013 and 2017, and went on to win two consecutive Golden Globe Awards for her roles in American Hustle and Big Eyes. Adams' stage credits include a revival of Into the Woods in 2012 and a forthcoming revival of The Glass Menagerie in 2022. She was even named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by Time Magazine in 2014 and featured in the Forbes Celebrity 100 list. What a career! But that's not all: Amy Adams is also well known for her quick wit and sense of humour - she's the life of the party! As she once famously quipped, “I'm not the one you call when you want to be cheered up - I'm the one you call when you want to laugh!”
