Bob Gunton
Robert Gunton is an American actor who is known for his roles in the Shawshank Redemption, Demolition Man, and Evita. He has also appeared in films such as The Island, The Rock, and Jurassic Park III. Gunton has also provided voice acting for video games such as the Mass Effect trilogy and the Kingdom Hearts series.
Gunton was born in 1945 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He studied at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a member of the drama club. After graduation, he moved to New York City, where he began his acting career. He appeared in several Off-Broadway productions before landing his first major role in the 1994 prison film The Shawshank Redemption. Gunton's breakthrough role came in 1993 when he was cast as Chief George Earle in the science fiction action film Demolition Man. He reprised the role in the 1993 sequel Demolition Man 2 and in the 1998 video game adaptation of the movie. Gunton's other notable roles include President Juan Peron in the original Broadway cast of Evita and the villainous Mr. Freeze in the 1994 superhero film Batman: The Animated Series.
Gunton has also performed voice acting for video games such as the Mass Effect trilogy and the Kingdom Hearts series. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
