Elizabeth McGovern is an incomparable American actor, dancer and singer who has been captivating audiences since her debut in the acclaimed Academy Award-winning drama Ordinary People (1980). Born on July 18th, 1961, Elizabeth was one of the earliest students of Juilliard to be offered a part in a feature film. Her acclaimed performance as the troubled teenager Timothy Hutton’s girlfriend earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in 1981 for her role as Evelyn Nesbit in Ragtime. She continued to charm audiences around the world with her stunning performances in Sergio Leone’s gangster epic Once Upon a Time in America (1984) and Johnny Handsome (1989) alongside Mickey Rourke. Elizabeth has also made her mark on the stage, appearing in numerous plays at prestigious Off-Broadway and Broadway theaters. Her talent and finesse have made her one of the most sought after performers in Hollywood. When she’s not performing, Elizabeth loves to spend time with her family and friends.
