Gerard James Butler is an iconic Scottish actor and film producer renowned for his larger-than-life performances! With a degree in law, Butler made the switch to acting in the mid-1990s and hasn't looked back since. He rose to prominence with his roles in Mrs Brown (1997), Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), Tale of the Mummy (1998), Dracula 2000 (2000), and Reign of Fire (2002). But it wasn't until his role as King Leonidas in the fantasy war epic 300 that he truly cemented his place in Hollywood royalty. Thanks to this role, Butler was nominated for an Empire Award for Best Actor, a Saturn Award for Best Actor, and won an MTV Movie Award for Best Fight. When he's not busy saving the world on the big screen, Butler can be seen lending his voice to Stoick the Vast in the acclaimed How to Train Your Dragon film franchise (2010-2019). He also plays Secret Service agent Mike Banning in the action-packed Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, Angel Has Fallen and the upcoming Night Has Fallen. Not to mention, a stunning portrayal of military leader Tullus Aufidius in the 2011 film Coriolanus and Sam Childers in the 2011 action biopic Machine Gun Preacher. Butler's larger-than-life performances are always a sight to behold, but when it comes to making an entrance, nothing beats his classic joke: "I didn't become an actor to be famous, I became an actor to be rich. That plan didn't work out so well."
