Jennifer Jason Leigh
Jennifer Jason Leigh is an incredibly versatile actress and producer whose career began in the 1970s and continues to soar to this day. She gained fame for her starring role as Stacy Hamilton in the classic 1982 film Fast Times at Ridgemont High, and subsequently earned critical acclaim for her roles in Last Exit to Brooklyn (1989), Miami Blues (1990), Backdraft (1991), Single White Female (1992), and Short Cuts (1993). Her portrayal of Dorothy Parker in 1994's Mrs. Parker and the Vicious Circle earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
Not content to just be an actor, Leigh co-wrote and co-directed the 2001 film The Anniversary Party with Alan Cumming, and wrote and directed the 2005 film The Best Thief in the World. She also had a recurring role on the Showtime comedy-drama series Weeds and starred in the family drama film Margot at the Wedding (2007).
In 2015, Leigh received immense recognition for her voice work as Lisa in Charlie Kaufman's Anomalisa, and for her role as Daisy Domergue in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, for which she was nominated for the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. From 2017 to 2021, she starred in the Netflix comedy-drama series Atypical, and more recently appeared in the science-fiction horror films Annihilation (2018) and Possessor (2020).
Leigh has also made her mark on the stage, receiving a Drama Desk Award nomination for her off-Broadway performance as Beverly Moss in Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party. Her Broadway debut occurred in 1998, when she became the replacement for the role of Sally Bowles in the musical Cabaret.
