Ken Jeong is a one-of-a-kind actor and comedian who has taken Hollywood by storm. A former physician, Jeong first dazzled audiences with his scene-stealing performances in hit comedies such as "Knocked Up" (2007) and "The Hangover" (2009). But his story began long before his Hollywood days, when he was a medical student in North Carolina and performed stand-up comedy in local clubs. In 1995, Jeong won a comedy contest judged by former NBC entertainment president Brandon Tartikoff and Improv Comedy Club founder Budd Friedman. They encouraged him to move to Hollywood, so in 1998 he relocated to pursue a career in entertainment while still practicing medicine. His big break came in 2007 when he was cast in a small role in Judd Apatow's "Knocked Up," and from there the rest was history. He earned the respect of audiences and critics alike for his outrageous performances in films like "Pineapple Express" (2008) and "The Hangover," and he won a recurring role on NBC's sitcom "Community" (2009-15; Yahoo! 2015). And if that weren't impressive enough, Jeong also proved he could be hilarious without any medical experience, taking on a variety of comedic roles in feature films throughout 2010. When asked how he managed to make such a successful transition from medical doctor to comedic actor, Jeong quipped, "I guess you could say I'm a real life Dr. Jekyll and Hyde!"
