Lee Byung-hun was born in the small town of Yeosu, South Korea on July 12, 1970. As a child, Lee loved to act and sing, and he quickly realized that he had a gift for it. After graduating from high school, Lee moved to Seoul to pursue his acting career. Lee quickly made a name for himself in South Korea, starring in television dramas like Iris (2009), All In (2003) and Beautiful Days (2001). He quickly became known for his powerful and charismatic performances, and his work in Joint Security Area (2000), A Bittersweet Life (2005), The Good, the Bad, the Weird (2008) and I Saw the Devil (2010) cemented his status as one of the most celebrated and acclaimed actors in the country. Lee has won numerous awards and nominations throughout his career, including the prestigious Grand Bell Award for Best Actor for his work in A Bittersweet Life (2005). He is also a popular singer, and has released three albums: I Saw the Devil (2010), The Good, the Bad, the Weird (2008) and All In (2003). Lee is married to actress Lee Sun-kyung, and they have two children. He is constantly working on new projects, and is always keeping fans entertained with his powerful and charismatic performances.
