Mel Gibson
Mel Gibson is an actor, film director, producer and screenwriter who was born in Peekskill, New York, but raised in Sydney, Australia. After appearing in the "Mad Max" and "Lethal Weapon" series, Gibson went on to direct and star in the Academy Award-winning "Braveheart" (1995). His latest film, "The Passion of the Christ", is a controversial yet successful film portraying the last hours in the life of Jesus Christ. Gibson is known for his intense and volatile personality, which has led to several high-profile legal disputes. In 2004, Gibson directed and produced "The Passion of the Christ", which won multiple awards and made him a household name. Gibson is currently working on a new film, "The Beaver", which is scheduled for release in 2018.
