Octavia Spencer

Octavia Lenora Spencer was born in Atlanta, Georgia on May 25, 1970. She is an American actress, author, and producer. Octavia has starred in a variety of films and television shows, including "The Help" (2011), "The Butler" (2013), and "Hidden Figures" (2016). She has won several accolades, including an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award, a Golden Globe Award, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. Octavia is the first black actress to receive three Academy Award nominations, the first black actress to receive two consecutive Academy Award nominations in back-to-back years, and the first black actress to receive an Academy Award nomination after previously winning. Octavia is also a spokesperson for the United Nations' Children's Fund (UNICEF).
