Ray Sharkey
Ray Sharkey, an iconic American actor and musician, was truly a force to be reckoned with. Possessing a natural charisma and charm, as well as a unique sense of humor, he made a lasting impression on audiences everywhere.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Sharkey began his career in the theater, acting in plays like “The Wall” and “The Rose Tattoo” before making a name for himself in films. His best-known roles include Sonny Steelgrave in the acclaimed television series “Wiseguy”, as well as roles in films such as “The Idolmaker” and “The Lost Boys”. His performance as Silky in the 1983 film “The Idolmaker” earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Ray Sharkey was also a talented musician, playing the drums and saxophone in various bands throughout his career. He even wrote and recorded his own music, and released a solo album in 1986.
