Rosie O'Donnell

Rosie O'Donnell is an American comedian, actress, singer, author, and media personality. Born in the Bronx, New York, she began her comedy career while still a teenager and quickly gained a following on the talent show Star Search. A series of successful TV sitcoms and movies later introduced her to a larger national audience. O'Donnell became known for her strong personality and liberal views on The View, and her contract with the show was eventually terminated after she became controversial with her opinions. She later returned to daytime TV with a talk show on OWN. O'Donnell is still involved with LGBT and family-related issues and has released two memoirs.
