Sam Neill

Sam Neill is an acclaimed actor from New Zealand whose career has spanned over five decades. He is most well-known for his iconic role as the paleontologist Dr Alan Grant in Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III. His other notable roles include Reilly, Ace of Spies, Omen III: The Final Conflict, Merlin, The Hunt for Red October, Snow White: A Tale of Terror, and The Piano. Most recently, he portrayed Cardinal Thomas Wolsey in the Peace Arch Entertainment production for Showtime, The Tudors. His vast list of credits also include a wide variety of genres, ranging from comedy to drama to science fiction. Neill's impressive range of characters have earned him the reputation of being a chameleon, able to transform himself into any type of role. He is also known for his dry wit and sharp sense of humor, which he often uses to great effect in interviews and on the red carpet. In addition to his acting career, Neill has also been involved in a number of humanitarian efforts, particularly in his native New Zealand. He is also an avid golfer and his favorite joke is that he's "never seen a dinosaur on the golf course".
