Zoe Yadira Saldaña-Perego (née Saldaña Nazario; born June 19, 1978) is an incredible American actress who has truly made a name for herself. After performing with the theater group Faces, she made her television debut in 1999 in two episodes of Law & Order, and her film career began the following year with her breakout role in Center Stage, where she played a talented ballet dancer. Her subsequent performance in the film Crossroads alongside pop star Britney Spears earned her early recognition, and she went on to achieve her career breakthrough with her unforgettable roles in science fiction films, beginning with her multiple appearances as Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek film series and Neytiri in the Avatar film series. Saldaña is also known for her role as Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, playing the part in Guardians of the Galaxy and its sequels. She is the only actor to appear in three of the five highest-grossing films of all time, and her films have grossed over an astonishing 11 billion dollars worldwide. What's even more amazing is that she is the second-highest-grossing film actress of all time. Talk about an impressive resume! And if that wasn't enough, she's also got a great sense of humor - when asked what her superpower was, she replied "My superpower is being able to work with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and still have time to clean my house." Now that's something we can all relate to.
